About the Artist
As far back as I can remember I had always taken to exploring. Once at barely 4 years old I escaped my fathers attention and climbed the steep road by our house to see a golden retriever I had met on a walk with my mother. Only after a search party was summoned was I discovered.
I tend to take this fearless, adventurous approach to my life as well as my paintings
Having both parents being artists and dedicated to their work naturally I settled right into their footsteps. I passionately dove right in to all types of media and to studying all kinds of styles.
It didn't take long for me to discover what I really enjoy creating and for nearly 30 years now I'm still having fun with abstract on canvas.
It's like a meditation for me, but more so it's a bit like playing and having fun. I sometimes start a piece with no direction in mind and just let every brush stroke be improvised.
I often take photos of textures I find in nature and either replicate them or simply get inspiration from. I also have an extensive rock collection for the same purpose.
Below are some examples of the images I've captured for inspiration
